inspiring others...
it's hard to belive you can be an inspiration to other people when you have such trouble motivating yourself! i am amazingly happy for my friends who are getting married this weekend--they took my words about the south beach diet and regular exercise to heart and have been working hard. as of last night, the bride's lost 6 pounds and the groom's lost 7. they are eating actual vegetables, which is huge in itself. i feel like a proud mama or something. and they both look better and feel better for their effort--you can see it! yay for them! :)

I just want to say good luck in your weight loss . . . but the key to taking weight off, is NOT SB. Sorry. You need to exercise, exercise, exercise along with a healthy diet that includes all of the food groups (even that yummy sounding pasta you made).
SB was a diet fad for a reason . . . take care of yourself by eating what your body wants (within reason of course) and stepping up those dance classes to several times a week.
Good luck!
i know all this anonymous. however, if you read the SB diet book, you will see that at no point in that diet do you become vitamin or nutritionally deficient. and after the initial two-week period, it DOES include all food groups. i think it's beneficial in that it gets people thinking more about what they are putting into their bodies. and it really did break me of my sugar habit. to me it's just a step to a lifestyle of better eating, which is the ultimate goal for anyone i think. and if you notice, i told them to go to the gym every day for at least 30 minutes in addition to following the diet. that was the only way the diet worked for me and what my doctor recommended. don't worry anonymous--i'm thinking about the big picture, not just following a fad.
